Spatial data management solutions

IntellinQ offers solutions to control the data management chain by combining the GeolinQ software platform and expertise concerning spatial data management. The company has its origin in the geographic and hydrographic field where spatial data like point clouds, raster data and vector data is collected, processed and disclosed.

Anyone, from operator to manager, prefers to take decisions based on reliable and up-to-date information. Often decision making is based on spatial information products like for example satellite images, radar images, navigational data at the road or at the sea. End-user requirements imposed on the information products, but also the source data the information products rely on are more than ever subject of change. The integration of the full data management chain, from source data to end-user, is an effective response to cope with these on-going change.

Integration of the data management chain

The data management chain consists of three linked processes: data collection, data integration and data distribution. An integrated data management solution links or processes the collected source data into information products and distributes the information products in various formats to the end-users and applications.

Data collection Data collection is the management of internal data collections and the disclosure of external datasources. An important goal is to connect internal and external datasources to an universal data model for data integration purposes. This universal data model describes the structure of the source data models as well as the metadata structure to determine the context of the data and allows a fast retrieval, linking and processing of source data.

Data integration End-user requirements for information products are met by configuring custom data models. The desired information products are obtained by linking and combining data from different sources in views based on the universal data model. Information products are also obtained by processing source data using algorithms satisfying the end-user data needs. Dependency management triggers processes and notifies end-users when new data is available.

Data distribution The information products are distributed in various file formats and services to end-users and applications. The same information product might be delivered in different formats and services based on the universal data model. By linking an authorization model to the universal data model the appropriate information products are delivered to the target audience and unauthorized data access is prevented.

February 2 2016 IntellinQ and Crotec cooperate and introduce a brand new solution: C-SAM centraal. Specific for local governmental organizations C-SAM centraal offers functionality to manage, combine and share spatial data effectively based on extensive use of open data standards. Janaury 22 2016 From today GeolinQ offers new functionality to control spatial data with mapping functionality. Data in data sources can be combined easily in map-layers.

January 4 2016 From now GeolinQ offers WFS Datasource functionality to harvest data and data models from Web Feature Services (WFS).

December 15 2015 From now GeolinQ offers functionality to import GML based XSD’s. Data models as well as the GML file data can be imported in GeolinQ with standard functionality simplifying the use of these more and more open data sources.

December 8 2015 IntellinQ participated the ‘Management of massive point cloud data: wet and dry’ symposium December 8th in Delft with a GeolinQ presentation. Click for the presentation
